Seatrade Awards 2003
12/9/2002
If your company has launched a new product or service in the last year, you could be the proud winner of a Seatrade Award in 2003. Since 1989, the Seatrade Awards have been promoting improvements in maritime standards. In 2003 there will be four prestigious Awards to be won: safety at sea, protection of the marine and atmospheric environment, innovation in ship operations and new IT applications for the shipping industry. Seatrade Awards are looking for the next wave of innovative ideas that will shape the future of shipping.
Categories for entry are:
Safety at Sea - Significant technical or procedural improvements leading to reduction of risk to human life at sea introduced or approved during 2002.
Protection of the Marine and Atmospheric Environment - The introduction of new, or significant improvements of existing technology which can reduce or prevent marine and atmospheric pollution or assist in clean up, introduced or approved during 2002.
Innovation in Ship Operations - An innovative project which has the potential to significantly improve efficiency of any aspect of ship operations and/or cargo handling. Entries will be judged on originality and imagination combined with the perceived practicality of the idea.
New IT Applications for the Shipping Industry - Recognising proven advances in the use of the Internet and IT systems for the benefit of the maritime sector.
The Seatrade Awards are free to enter, and there are no restrictions on the size of your company or the number of entries you can submit. If you are proud of your new idea, take advantage of this opportunity to be among next year's winners. The deadline for all entries is the 31st December 2002.
