Ship Simulator 2007

Ship Simulator from VSTEP is a simulation game that puts players at the helm of various ships to be found at sea, all set within realistic 3D environments. Players can take control of a wide array of ship types, from massive cargo ships to speedboats to yachts and water taxis. A realistic 3D model of the actual working environment forms the basis of the virtual training. Using game-like technology, people are able to move around and interact freely, experiencing life-like simulations as if they were actually there. The realistic and interactive experience helps people learn faster, remember procedures better and develop essential competencies.

Ship Simulator 2007 builds on top of the success of the 2006 version and will include the following new features:

  • Sailing areas: San Francisco, Southampton/Solent incl. Cowes, and Marseille
  • Vessel types such as ferries, hovercraft, container ship, offshore drilling rig, oil tanker, rescue boat, and a jet-ski
  • Two cranes for container loading and unloading, which can be controlled by the player
  • Ocean waves with realistic ship motions
  • Large-distances trips between harbours (open sea missions)
  • Walkthrough options on all new ships
  • Advanced day/night/weather system
  • Visible damage on ships after a collision
  • Advanced towing and mooring rope operations
  • Complex and challenging missions, like chasing other ships, container loading, fire-fighting, rescue operations
