The Singapore Pavilion at Asia Pacific Maritime 2006 (APM) will be substantially bigger in size as compared to the last showing in 2004. With six months to the show, the Singapore Pavilion size at APM2006 has already surpassed that of the last event by 40%, with more industry players confirming their participation at an encouraging rate. The local industry is led by the Association of Singapore Marine Industries which is aiming to double the participation by local companies comparing to the last event. The Singapore industry will represent the largest national contingent at next year event.
APM features a strong following of national pavilions including China, Germany, Japan, Korea, Norway, Singapore and United Kingdom. Taiwan and Malaysia are the new additions to the country contingents. The Singapore Pavilion boasts the presence of major local shipyards that will serve to boost the shipbuilding, ship repair and conversion component of the exhibition.
This, the organisers believe, will serve in turn to draw more regional ship owners and ship managers to the event. Some of the industry players confirmed include ACeS, ASL Shipyard, Codar, Griffin, Industmarine Engineers, Jason Electronics, Keppel FELS, LH & MH, Modern Automation & Engineering, Nitti, Power Instruments, Rico, Saab Marine Rosemount, SembCorp Marine, Shipnet, Teho Ropes and Viking. Asia Pacific Maritime 2006 will feature 400 exhibiting companies from 30 countries and deliver a holistic business experience for all delegates at the event. Visitors can look forward to a series of exciting event highlights including conferences, workshops, dialogue sessions, golf tournament, gala dinner, and luncheons at this B2B maritime platform.
