Small Craft Safety

Many thousands of small craft operate on our inland waterways, around our coasts, and make extensive voyages across oceans. While the overall safety record is remarkably good, nevertheless there are important lessons to be learnt that would benefit all concerned: users, builders, designers and regulators. The purpose of this conference, to be held in London (UK), is to highlight such lessons, and to promote a public debate within the industry with a view to improving the safety of small craft. Including: all recreational craft, whether sail, oar or power, whether used by private owners, charterers, or training organisations and all types of working craft up to about 24m length, including harbour, survey, patrol, police, customs, pilot and survey boats, diving boats, fishing and sea-angling craft.
