Software for Vessel Speed & Power Analysis

HydroComp (USA) released NavCad™ v4.0. a software tool for the prediction and analysis of vessel speed and power performance. The user interface is virtually identical to version 3, however the functionality of the program has been substantially upgraded. The new features include supercritical shallow water analysis, use of engine, gear and propeller databases, evaluation of oblique propeller flow and, additional catamaran analyses.

Version 4 is for 32-bit Windows only and will leverage modules developed for PropCad™ and PropExpert™. Users will be able to program and run NavCad from other calculation processes (e.g., to provide powering calculations for design synthesis models) or to allow completely custom sets of calculations (e.g., multiple calculations with output to a user's own file format).
