Strategic Alliance for Naval Trainers

Atlantis Systems International (Canada) and STN Atlas Elektronik GmbH (Germany) have entered into a strategic alliance for the continued marketing and development of Atlantis' line of naval tactical trainers. Under this alliance, STN Atlas will have exclusive responsibility for sales and marketing for new opportunities, while development and services work will be shared.

Douglas L. Olson, President and CEO of Atlantis, said "This alliance will allow our two companies to combine their considerable skills and experience in naval training to address the growing world market for naval training devices of all kinds. I look forward to a long relationship with STN Atlas, which will benefit both companies and provide increased value to our customers."Klaus-Gunter Mehlhorn, General Manager, Naval Simulation of STN Atlas Elektronik GmbH stated "The combination of Atlantis' excellent naval tactical trainer technology, worldwide proven with several navies, and STN Atlas' long history and experience in the development and marketing of sensors, systems, and simulators for naval applications opens promising opportunities to maintain and enhance world-class naval tactical trainer solutions for the benefit of an increased customer network."

During the next few months, the two companies will determine the most effective way to address opportunities for the alliance. This process will involve a review of existing opportunities and development work already in process. There will be no changes to existing contractual arrangements between either company or their existing customers.
