Tidewater Port Jackson Marine Pty Ltd chose Nautronix Ltd to supply their ASK 4001 Dynamic Positioning (DP) system for their 56 metre 4,500 BHP AHTS "CANNING TIDE".

The vessel was built for worldwide operations and is fully equipped for anchor handling, towage, offshore supply and safety standby. Features of the vessel include fire fighting class one and moonpool in addition to the DP system.
Also installed is Nautronix ATS II Acoustic Tracking System, the highly regarded ultra short baseline system used throughout the offshore world for ROV tracking, towfish tracking and drilling operations. The ATS came complete with dual hydrophones in addition to purpose built cleaning tools for each of the vessel's two hydrophone tubes.

The ASK 4001 DP provides manual three-axis joystick control and closed-loop control. Operating modes include automatic heading and position control and active wind. compensation. The operator can monitor the vessel’s position status through a single integrated graphic and text display.
