Japanese representatives for Transas Marine, Marix k.k., completed the installation of several new bridge simulator complexes in Japan. Two of these simulators, provided to Fishery schools in Awa and Misaki, have become the first ever installations to feature instructor tools, which support Japanese language. Using these customised Japanese-speaking stations, local instructors will benefit from enhanced training efficiency gained with new generation Navi-Trainer Professional 4000 ship handling simulators.
Transas and Marix k.k. are also cooperating on a bridge simulator, to be supplied to the Japanese Pilot Association in Yokosuka. Specifically for this project, Transas has been ordered to design a new sailing area model. Installation and commissioning of this simulator will took place in May 2001.
