Neptune Cruise system, manufactured by Altair Filters International, is a three stage, ultra compact unit specifically designed for use in cruise ship applications. It provides protection against bulk water, salt spray/aerosols, and particulate, while minimising intake pressure loss and maintenance requirements. The new system will complement other specialist high performance filtration systems, including the Vega series.

The Vega-3 system (utilising the HV850 filter/coalescer) protects the engines on Celebrity Cruises' "Millennium" - the world's first gas turbine powered cruise ship. The Neptune Cruise system combines the proven benefits of the Vega range of products with the latest Neptune technology. Neptune was originally developed in conjunction with the UK Navy as an ultra-compact solution for turbine powered warships.
Altair's philosophy is to design specific filtration systems tailored to meet the explicit demands of different applications and environments. Especially successful in the cruise ship market, Altair has secured orders to supply air intake systems to all the gas turbine powered cruise ships currently under construction.
