Unique Construction Material

Unique Construction Material

‘Recore’ is in many ways a unique construction material. Unique, because it unites characteristics that have appeared to be impossible to combine previously: low weight with stability and stiffness, a high degree of fire safety with design advantages. Unique, because it gives designers and engineers new possibilities and opportunities for furnishing ships thanks to the design options it offers.

‘Recore’ consists of a fibre-reinforced and fire-resistant bonding agent. By using a patented method, a super-light and fire-resistant material is formed that is very easy to machine and customise. ‘Recore’ is available in silicate foam and melamine foam. The main advantages are improved fire prevention which, combined with its light-weight, offers better economy for the end user. The material is also very easy to use, it can be easily transported and moulded as complete pieces into interior details, panels or ventilation ducts.
