SEAMOOR 2000 is a moorings analysis and advisory program, which includes a low frequency motion prediction and line dynamic response capability. The program has been developed to meet the needs of those involved in the operational management of spread moorings, such as used by offshore drilling rigs, construction barges and accommodation vessels.
The program, developed by the U.K. consultancy Noble Denton Europe Ltd., may be used on-board and in the office, where it will enable all aspects of mooring and station keeping performance to be assessed rapidly and accurately. SEAMOOR runs as a 32-bit Microsoft Windows application on IBM-PC or compatible computers.
Seamoor2000 was first introduced in December 1999, but the latest version has just been released. Noble Denton has produced a free downloadable demonstration version of this new software, which is available from the company's Internet site.
