Imtech Marine & Offshore (Holland) has recently been selected to provide the Integrated Platform Management Systems (IPMS) for the mid-life modernisation of six “Combattante III” Class Fast Attack Crafts of the Hellenic Navy. These vessels, commissioned around the 1980s, will be upgraded at Elefsis Shipyards to bring them in line with the new SuperVita 62-meter Roussen-class FACs. “Combattante III” has displacement of 359 tons, an overall length of 56 metres, maximum speed of 32.5 knots, and a crew of 42 people.

Imtech’s IPMS technology will be used to monitor and control all platform machinery, including propulsion, electrical power and auxiliary systems. The IPMS also includes the Fire Fighting & Damage Control functionality, which enhances survivability of the ship. In addition to modernisation of the above Fast Attack Crafts, the Hellenic Navy has also set up a modernisation program for “Elli Class” S-Frigates and Imtech has been selected to install similar automation systems.
