Water-Protected Breaker

This new circuit breaker is first to offer full water protection for marine applications. E-T-A Circuit Breakers has introduced the first combined rocker switch and CBE (circuit breaker for equipment) to offer full water-splash protection in a stylishly designed package - ideal for applications, where electrical and electronic equipment may be exposed to water and damp conditions.

The new water-protected type 3130 CBE is especially designed and styled for both reliable protection and aesthetic appeal, conforming to IP65 - an IEC standard definition that indicates the degree of protection against water ingress - making it ideal for use in wet conditions. Marine applications include flying bridges of power and sailing boats. Combining circuit protection and a switch in one compact and lightweight unit - the single pole version weighs approximately .6 ozs (17g). The series 3130 thermal overcurrent CBE uses less space and ultimately incurs lower costs than separate components. This is important when space is at a premium. The 3130 CBE incorporates a rocker switch with optional illumination, and is the first component of this type designed especially for external snap-in panel mounting. The versatile circuit breaker can withstand temperatures in a range from -30 to +60 degrees C, and has undergone extensive testing for performance in a variety of situations.
