Web Ferry News

Ferry Management Services (FMS), the UK-based consultancy offering a variety of services to the global ferry industry, has launched its own comprehensive Web site at www.ferrynews.com The Internet site offers an insight into the expertise available from FMS as well as a Market Intelligence section incorporating around 12,000 words of detailed regularly updated information, indexed and cross referenced by company, covering current affairs within the conventional and fast ferry world.

The Market Intelligence hyperlink can be accessed free of charge subject only to simple registration which takes a matter of seconds. Ferry News is produced in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format in order that readers can print the newsletter. (Acrobat Reader 4 can also be downloaded free of charge). The site, created by specialists Grant Web Media Ltd, reflects many months of careful planning and draws upon a vast database of information updated by FMS personnel on a weekly basis.

Bill Moses, director of FMS said: “While we know just about all there is to know about the ferry industry, we needed expert advice on the Internet and how it may benefit us. We need not have worried. Grant Endersby, managing director of GWM, and his team have done a superb job in helping us through the process as shown by this, one of the smartest and most informative sites available today! In consultation with GWM we have numerous ideas for further improvements with links to complementary sites and have already been in discussion with organisations who wish to become involved in the development of our shipping news concept.”
