Work Boat World Asia - Timing Changes

Work Boat World Asia - Timing Changes

The third Work Boat World Asia 2002 exhibition and conference will be deferred from August 2002 until February 18-20, 2003. Chairman of the organising company Baird Publications, Mr. Neil Baird, explained: "We have decided that we will defer our Work Boat World Asia exhibition until February, 2003. We have just learnt that a major competing event "Asia Pacific Maritime" has cancelled its 2003 exhibition, which was scheduled for March 2003. This provides us with an opportunity to revert to our original schedule of every two years for which most of our exhibitors had budgeted anyway." The closely interconnected conference and exhibition will be held in Singapore, one of Asia's best exhibition centres.

"We believe that this change will result in a much bigger and better show, especially as Singapore should be starting to pull solidly out of its recession by then. I know that the final result will be better for everyone," Mr. Baird added. Singapore's maritime industry is the most dynamic in the region. Strategically located at the heart of the dynamic growth region, Singapore serves as an important gateway to the Asia-Pacific region. Work Boat World Asia event always attracts large numbers of designers, builders, and operators of all types of work boats. Numerous matters relating to the construction and the safe, efficient and economical operations of these craft are both discussed at the conference and displayed at the exhibition.
