Workshop on Information Technology Developments

WONDERMAR II, an open user group in the maritime sector, coordinates activities of European projects with a main focus on reviewing the state of the art and identifying new developments in the information technology area. The 3rd WONDERMAR II Workshop will be held in the Delftech Business Centre, Delft, The Netherlands, on 20th of February 2003. Presentations will outline future scenarios and expected benefits of IT solutions in the different process chains.

An overview about latest developments in the European research framework programme with high relevance for the maritime industry will be given. Beside the future scenario sessions, three invited speakers will provide further information on IT topics, and the industrial partner involved will offer relevant comments. This will be followed by a discussion with the audience. The primary target audience group is technical innovation managers from the maritime industry. Those interested in learning about technology-based engineering and business solutions for the maritime industry or interested in taking part in future European research activities are invited. Participation is free of charge.
