Gearbulk operates the world's largest fleet of open-hatch gantry craned vessels. With two travelling gantry cranes serving perfectly box shaped holds, these vessels are specifically designed and equipped to transport unitized cargoes.

  • These cargoes generally consist of forest products (mainly woodpulp, newsprint, lumber and different types of paper and paperboard) and non-ferrous metal products (mainly aluminium, copper and lead).
  • The company also transports non-unitized bulk cargoes, such as cement, fertilizers, clinker, soda ash, gypsum, sulphur and kaolin.
  • In addition, the company owns or has interests in terminals, which are used to handle, store and distribute cargoes and comply with the strict requirements of the LME and the forest products industry.
