Intermarine, founded in the 1970's, is a naval shipyard specialised in designing and manufacturing G.R.P. (Glassfibre Reinforced Plastic) marine craft. Intermarine belongs to the COMPART group, the second largest privately-owned group in Italy.
Sarzana (near La Spezia), is the headquarters of the Company, the Research and Development Department and the main shipyard, a modern production facility equipped for the construction of large vessels
La Spezia is the outfitting yard, devoted to the outfitting and final completion of the vessels and to acceptance testing before delivery to the customers.
Since nineteen seventy-seven intermarine has supplied, and continues to build, minehunters for many of the worlds leading Navies.
The reason for this success is the innovative and unique construction technique researched by intermarine, a technique that has been demonstrated as ideal for the construction of the hulls of those vessels used for mine Countermeasure operations.
