MSI provides simulator-based training & port improvement studies to the maritime industry. MSI owns & operates 14 full mission simulators & numerous smaller ones used for training in Radar/ARPA, ECDIs, VTS, tug-barge & high speed ferry opertions

  • The MSI Training Center in Newport (Middletown), Rhode Island is located in the Aquidneck Industrial Park,off Aquidneck Avenue, three miles from downtown Newport and two miles from the Navy base.
  • This Center has 3 full mission, 1 Radar/ARPA, and 1 bridge wing sims. It also has learning feedback centers, classrooms and control stations. It is managed by CAPT Frank Julian & has a staff of 14.
  • All 4 bridge simulators are capable of operating separately or interactively. Training or research can be conducted using our library of geographic areas and ship types, or new models can be made.
