MSI provides simulator-based training & port improvement studies to the maritime industry. MSI owns & operates 14 full mission simulators & numerous smaller ones used for training in Radar/ARPA, ECDIS, VTS, tug-barge & high speed ferry operations.

  • The MSI Training Center in Norfolk, Virginia is located on the Naval Station, off Hampton Boulevard, approximately three miles from downtown Norfolk.
  • This Center has 2 360-degree, 2 radar & 2 bridge wing/docking simulators. It also has learning feedback centers, classroom & control stations. It is managed by CAPT Brian Boyce & has a staff of 13.
  • All 6 sims are capable of operating separately or fully interactively. Training or research can be conducted using our library of geographic areas and ship types, or new models can be made.
