The Shipbuilders & Shiprepairers Association (SSA) represents the industry in the UK. It exists to further the interests of its members and to promote the industry generally, particularly through:

• DTI Shipbuilding Forum
• Relations with National & European authorities and agencies
• Research & Development Projects and Continuous dialogue within the Maritime Industry

SSA also acts as Secretariat to the Interyard Co-operation Group on Shiprepair, a subsidiary grouping of the Association of European Shipbuilders and Shiprepairers (AWES).
