Founded in 1895 to advocate the need for a Canadian Navy, the Navy League's activities have evolved into three core programs: Maritime Affairs; Royal Canadian Sea Cadets; and, Navy League Cadets.

Maritime Affairs - The NLOC works with government and industry to develop sound maritime policy and to educate Canadians on the importance of the Marine Sector to the vitality of the nation.

Royal Canadian Sea Cadets - Operated in partnership with National Defence, Sea Cadets is the largest maritime-themed youth training program in Canada. Approx. 12000 youth (12-18)participate annually.

Navy League Cadets - A junior program for 10-13 year olds desiged to introduce youth to the exciting possibilities of the sea. Approx. 3000 youth participate annually.
